Swedish Massage Techniques at Ravel Therapies Limassol
Swedish massage techniques are generally whole of hand, long and broad strokes applied rhythmically. They are the foundation from which many remedial massage techniques emerge, and are incorporated into most of our treatments.
We incorporate Swedish massage techniques into our advanced remedial therapy treatments. They are performed using oil directly applied to the skin. Swedish massage techniques mainly include effleurage, petrisage, friction and percussion techniques which are strategically selected for different parts of the body.
We also incorporate gentle rocking and mobilisation into many of our techniques, which we apply at an approximate frequency of 60 cycles per minute. Being close to the resting heart rate, and the frequency of nourishment that surrounded us in the womb, rocking at this frequency produces a very nurturing and relaxing feeling in our bodies.
